Simultaneous connection to three devices with quick switching between them, unlocks the potential of the Dex docking station, hotkeys for selected applications, dimensions and weight, price.

A review of the Samsung Trio 500 keyboard is tempting to start with a question, but did you know that Samsung releases keyboards? In principle, they occasionally came out before, but these were exclusively highly specialized keyboards created in tandem with the company's tablets. But after entering the laptop market, Samsung Labs decided to go the other way and create one keyboard to rule them all. Everyone - in the sense of smartphones, tablets and laptops Samsung.

Therefore, the first and most important feature of the Samsung Trio 500 was the ability to simultaneously wirelessly connect to three devices at once and a separate button for quickly switching between them. But more to come. The F12-Dex key is hidden in the upper right corner of the keyboard, with which you can instantly activate the docking station mode by connecting your smartphone to the monitor. Thus, the user can simultaneously work with several applications, communicating with colleagues in Slack and simultaneously doing a presentation or text. To be honest, this is exactly what we needed to unleash the full potential of Dex.

In addition to the Dex button, the F1, F2, and F3 keys on the top row can be used to quickly access the applications and programs you need most. Conveniently, Samsung visually highlighted them by painting them red. Otherwise, this is a rather stylish, comfortable, ultra-compact keyboard that fits easily into a backpack or bag, does not burden the owner on the road and is always at hand when you need to quickly solve some kind of work issue. At the same time, it costs less than most wireless ultra-compact models from Logitech, Dell and Microsoft.

Multipoint, support for all popular operating systems, the most convenient scissor keys, strong aluminium base, smartphone / tablet stand, full-size layout with Num-block, design.

Xiaomi MiiiW MWBK01 is a stylish wireless multi-platform keyboard that, according to the manufacturer, will become an important part of the brand's ecosystem, allowing you to control Xiaomi smartphones, TVs, laptops and tablets. Unlike many devices of a similar nature, it boasts an unusual design and a full-fledged layout with 104 keys and a Num-block.

Chassis Miiiiw MWBK01 is made of scratch-resistant anodized aluminium, 5 rubberized legs are scattered around the perimeter, giving stability to the structure. The front part in the old fashioned way is made of plastic that is pleasant to the touch and rounded at the edges. At the top is a stand for installing a smartphone or tablet. The overall appearance of the keyboard leaves a pleasant aftertaste, with the general aesthetic of one side reminiscent of Apple keyboards, while the rounded keys are a nod to the popular Logitech K380 and K480 wireless keyboards. The same can be said about typing: the rounded keys take a little getting used to, after which you will be happy as an elephant with the quality and comfort of the scissor keys.

Given the class of the keyboard and its never low-cost status, the Xiaomi MiiiW MWBK01 supports simultaneous connection to multiple devices using Bluetooth and a radio channel (2.4 GHz). To quickly change devices, a separate key is provided on the case, and the keyboard itself is easily picked up in any popular operating systems (Windows and macOS, Android and iOS). Given the multiplatform nature of the keyboard, there are separate duplicate keys for both Windows and Mac OS (Alt/Cmd, Windows/Option).

Design, choice of colors, multiplatform, multipoint, autonomy.
Heap keys.

The K380 is an ultra-compact, slim and stylish keyboard for creatives on the move. She is friends with all popular operating systems (Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Chrome OS, Android, iOS and Apple TV) and supports simultaneous connection to multiple devices, thereby untying her owner's hands.

For example, a user can take notes for a presentation right on their phone while flying on an airplane. Then continue working on the laptop in the hotel room and finally finish the project sitting at your favorite iMac. The process is simplified by the fact that you do not need to dance with a tambourine to connect to the device, the K380 is almost instantly detected by all devices.

But not convenience alone. K380 attracts attention thanks to unusual rounded keys and atypical colors (pink, blue, white and black). However, it is worth noting that the keys are located in a heap, the arrows are quite small and there is no Num-block, so when switching from a full-size keyboard to the K380, the user will need a day or two to get used to it. In addition to the design, this model highlights an impressive battery life - on one set of AA batteries, it can work up to 2 years.

Design, ergonomics, use of high-end materials, comfortable scissor keys, emoji shortcuts and copy-paste operations, up to 36 months of battery life.
Works only with Windows OS.

Microsoft Designer Compact is a stylish, clean and compact keyboard designed for demanding professionals. It is assembled from high quality materials, devilishly comfortable and has a couple of interesting features. Granted, it's not that cheap. However, it’s hard to find fault with Microsoft’s logic, if you work for a good half on a computer, is it worth saving an extra hundred and buying so-so keyboards instead of a really convenient device?

When designing the Designer Compact, Microsoft decided to focus on keyboard design and ergonomics. Outwardly, it resembles the Apple Magic Keyboard (but only works with Windows), but thanks to an interesting edging and rounded edges, it looks even more advantageous. Well, the scissor keys with a travel length of 1.35 mm turned out to be so comfortable that sometimes you want to stretch the work in order to type a little more. No matter how strange it may sound.

Of the additional features of Microsoft Designer Compact, it should be noted the ability to simultaneously connect to three devices at once instead of the usual two. Further on the keyboard there are auxiliary keys for using emoji and quick copy-paste. Well, battery life from a pair of batteries can reach up to 36 months. By the way, if necessary, you can separately purchase a digital block for a compact keyboard, which also connects to a computer or laptop via Bluetooth protocol.

Design, quality of materials and assembly, battery instead of batteries, unusual concave keycaps, high-end scissor mechanism like Logitech Craft, smart backlight, simultaneous connection to three devices with quick switching between them.
Price.

In 2018, Swiss brand Logitech introduced a one-of-a-kind, high-end keyboard for designers, coders, and writers called the Craft. It was good in literally everything except the price, even high-end esports models were often cheaper. A year later, Logitech introduced the ideological successor to Craft called the Logitech MX Keys.

The MX Keys stands out from other wireless keyboards thanks to several interesting features. Firstly, a stylish body with unusual concave keycaps immediately catches the eye. The keys themselves have a short travel, they are pressed easily, with a clear and pleasant response. It feels like the same mechanism is used here as in Craft. The build quality and the materials themselves are top-notch here. And this is good news.

Secondly, the keyboard is equipped with an intelligent white backlight, which independently changes the brightness depending on external conditions, automatically turns off when idle and turns on when you put your hands on the keys. To do this, a proximity sensor is installed in the case. Thirdly, it can simultaneously connect to three different devices, instantly switch between them using dedicated keys, and inside, instead of AAA batteries, a battery is installed that holds a charge for up to 10 days.

Against the background of all that has been said, the only negative is still the price. More than a hundred dollars is entering the territory of quite serious mechanical keyboards. And there are completely different rules of the game. If it had been $30-$40 cheaper, it would have been a hit.
